When we were first told about the 'Dr Homibhabha Young Scientist Exam' in school, I was excited to take part as I had never participated in any formal competitive exam before. I joined Leena Maushi and Shashank Dada's coaching
classes, through school. From what I had heard of competitive exams from my peers and friends, it had always appeared to me that competitive exams were all about studying, and that there was no "fun" in it. But once
I started the coaching for the Homibhabha exam, I realised that learning is all about fun. I enjoyed a lot while learning new and different scientific concepts, that were not a part of our syllabus in 6th grade. The
coaching also greatly augmented my general knowledge. After the results of the 1st stage (written exam) were out, I was thrilled because I had achieved a great score and passed through to the next stage. Leena Maushi
and Shashank Dada then started training us for the practicals, wherein they also gave us small tips and tricks that helped me ace the practical exam (stage 2). For the last stage (Action Research Project), the both
of them assisted me with a lot of the technicalities of the project and also prepared me for the interview. In the upshot, I loved attending their coaching classes, as they not only helped me to ace the Homibhabha exam
but also nurtured a scientific attitude in me. I believe that these were the best classes I could've attended and Leena Maushi and Shashank Dada were the best teachers I could've asked for!
